Everyone says it is, but how many people are actually going to put in the work and effort necessary to make 2018 their year?
It’s one of the most overused statements in the months of December & January.
“This next year is going to be my year!”
“This is the year that my career is going to take off.”
“This is the year I’ll lose weight.”
“This is my last cigarette and then it’s on – no more smoking – EVER!”
This is one of the biggest reasons I’m not a fan of new years resolutions…the majority of people who make them, put little to no effort into actually doing the things they say they’re going to do.
The fact of the matter is: 2018 won’t be anything remotely close to your year unless you’re putting in the work necessary to make it your year.
What this means is that day in & day out you’re taking actionable steps to achieving whatever goal you have set.
What this doesn’t mean is that you try to use every excuse in the book in order to explain why you haven’t done what you said or why you can’t.
“It’s just too impossible” – right? It’s not impossible, maybe you just don’t want it as bad as you claim you do or aren’t disciplined enough to achieve it.
You’re going to have to make some serious changes if 2018 is going to be your year.
Or are you just sitting around waiting for the end of the year so you can tell everyone how much “2019 is going to be your year & you really mean it this time“?
